Shell Canada supports Volunteer Fire Department

A three year financial contribution commitment, from Shell Canada for $18, 800, has enhanced Fox Creeks volunteer fire departments fire and rescue techniques.

Fire Chief Les Paul explained the funds enable the department to purchase a 7″ battery powered hydraulic combi tool (vehicle rescue), a Blitz Fire Monitor, a forcible entry door training prop, a medical skid stretcher and a set of stabilizing struts.

“It is an amazing donation and we really appreciate the support,” said Fire Chief Paul.”These contributions are not just to the Fire Department, but the safety of the community as well.”

Ron Dube, Shell Canada’s Operations Manager and Cam MacKinnon, Fox Creek Lead Operator, were on hand to see some of the new tools already purchased, meet some of the volunteer 26 team crew, plus have a one on one tour of the units and fire hall on January 29th.
