Fox Creek Town Council Highlights from the August 22 meeting

Council gave 3rd reading to Bylaw 776-2016 – Waste Management Bylaw

Council gave 1st reading to the Land Use Bylaw, Downtown Area Redevelopment Plan Bylaw, and the Subdivision and Appeal Board Bylaw.

Council will be meeting with Northern Gateway Public School Division.

Council declared the third full week in October, 2016 as National Teen Driver Safety Week.

Council received the cost break down associated with the construction of the fire hall and is waiting on recommendations from the Municipal District of Greenview.

Fox Creek Town Council Highlights from the July 25 meeting  

Council gave third and final reading to the Municipal Development Plan.

Council has concerns with the removal of the portable air monitoring station.

Council has directed Administration to write a letter to the Alberta Government outlining their concerns of the caribou range protection plan.

Council donated $1000.00 to the Fox Creek Playschool Association to help offset some of the expenses for their annual Silent Auction Fundraiser to be held November 5, 2016.

Council accepted Councillor Tom Thompson’s letter of resignation as a council member.
