Mind over Matter is a new feature, focusing on resilient community members, known as “a shining light in our community” and includes a brief interview; photo and a personalized appreciation gift for the recipient.
It is a new collaboration between the Fox Creek Community Resource Centre, The CHAMP (Community Helpers and Mentoring Programs) Team and Fox in Focus.
The third recipient was Ronaldo Pangan.
He was interviewed by Jennifer Becker, Director of Community Services, Sandra Hardy, CHAMP Coordinator and Brandi Camilleri, journalist from Fox in Focus on June 10th.
Ronaldo was asked three questions; 1) How he stays positive in difficult situations? 2) How does he encourage others to face life’s challenges? and 3) What does he do for self-care?
- Staying + in Difficult Situations
You must have a sense of humor, positive attitude and laughter + his wife Gina by his side.
2. Words of Encouragement
“Be a good example to all of your colleagues and especially inside the house. You a role model to others.”
3. Write down your dreams and keep going, even when times seems tough.
“I have a lot of dreams, write them down and #1, is my family. I always need to be energetic, even when I don’t feel good.” – Ronaldo.
“What lies behind us and what lies before us are small matters, compared to what lies within us.” – Ralph Waldo Emerson.Print This Post
