Evacuation Procedure during School Hours
Parents please be advised of the following evacuation procedures for Fox Creek School
In the event of an evacuation order being issued during school hours, 8:30 am – 3:30 pm.
All students will be escorted to the gym where attendance will be taken. We are acquired to account for every student.
Parents or another responsible adult can pick up their children through the gym exit doors to the left of our school’s main entrance. We will check them off as they leave.
Students in grades 9-12 can be released to go home on their own, if you inform us that this is the direction you wish to take as part of your family evacuation plan.
Please use one for the following two methods to inform us how you would like to release your children:
- Fill in this form and ask your son/.daughter to keep it with them all the time they are at school, so they can present it to the supervising staff.
- Alternatively send a text message to your son or daughter’s phone stating “release my son/daughter to walk home” and include your name and number.
It is my hope that we will not even need to implement the evacuation procedure however if it prudent to be prepared.
In the event of an evacuation for the Town of Fox Creek during school hours, I authorize my children to be released from the Fox Creek School without adult accompaniment.
