Keeping Children Warm

Together the Fire Department and Community Resource Centre have joined forces for ‘Koats for Kids’.

Koats for Kids collects and distributes – free of charge; clean, gently used winter outerwear to families in need, in and around Fox Creek area. All sizes of coats are being accepted and also snow pants, toques and mitts.

A specialized collection box, made by ProFoxx Energy Services and signage, donated by Freelance Signs, is set up at the Fire Hall, located at 302-4th Avenue.

“We hope it is successful and plan to run the program every year,” said Brian Davidson, Fire Captain.

If you or someone you know are in need of outerwear to keep them warm this winter, call the Community Resource Centre’s Early Intervention Coordinator, Kerrianne at 780-622-3758.
