New Art Display

We are enjoying a new library art display titled “Eye and the City” with pieces from five artists, which includes photography and various mediums.  This is an interesting view of the urban landscape both historical and modern.  This is brought to the Fox Creek Library through the Alberta Foundation for the Arts, Travelling Exhibition Program.

Open House to celebrate Library Award and Technology in the Library

Our local library board has been chosen for a prestigious Alberta Library Award which will be presented  at our Library Open House.  This is being planned for May 19 (tentative date) from 7 – 9 pm.  We will also be celebrating the success of our Technology in the Library 2015 Program.  To date, we have received funding for eight of ten new laptop computers and will be acknowledging and thanking those companies who have donated funds.   Please set that date aside and come in to help us celebrate.  There will be door prizes and refreshments.

Time for Tots

Our on-line program, Time for Tots, is being viewed by a large audience.  Since starting our YouTube channel , we have had over 22,000 views and were even featured on the website of one of the authors.  She was happy to see her book being read and the little craft to go with it.

Our Library Collection

Our library is a public/school library which is here to serve the town as well as our students.  We have a good selection of new books for all ages, including best sellers.  Any titles we do not have we are usually able to order from other libraries for you to enjoy.

We have magazines and movies and through your free membership, you have access to worldwide newspapers, magazines, numerous data bases, ebooks and audio books.  We are eagerly waiting for Ancestry / Library Edition so our patrons will have access to the program in the library.  Come on in and see what our library has to offer.  Membership is free to local residents with proof of residency and identification.
