At their annual golf tournament, Athabasca Oil Corporation (AOC) and their vendors raised $11,000 which will go towards the Fox Creek School Outreach Program. This is the second year that AOC has donated money to the Outreach Program.

“Athabasca (Oil Corporation) feels that the Outreach Program is a great cause and we look forward to supporting the Outreach Program for years to come.” expressed Dan Legault, AOC Stakeholder Relations Manager.

The Outreach programs give students an opportunity to get their education outside of the traditional school and offers a personable and relaxed atmosphere where a student’s success is the teacher’s focus.

Outreach programs offer control over the rate of work, creation of a personal attendance schedule and choice of course work for students who, for a variety of reasons, may not have been able to be successful in a traditional school setting.  Students are the decision makers and success is the focus of an Outreach program.
