The Alberta Justice Court convened Monday, August 25th at Fox Creek Provincial Court. Judge G.R Ambrose resided. Scheduled to appear: 102 adults were facing 176 charges; 16 of those charges involved people making their first appearance.
Three adults were scheduled for trial and one youth matter. Three tickets were quashed, six warrants were issued, 10 offences were carried over until October and trials are booked until March 2015. Of the 31 traffic tickets; 22 were for speeding and three were for seatbelt violations.
22 year old Darren Lawrance pled guilty to providing a false identification after being stopped by the RCMP in a black convertible mustang on July 5th. At that time, the accused provided a breath sample and was served a three day suspension.
He provided his brother’s name and information, as his license had expired and he had no insurance. Judge ordered Lawrance a $300 fine and granted until the end of September to pay.
Joshua Sheren pled guilty to speeding 19 kilometers over in a 50 km zone. He was fined $120 and granted until the end of October 31st to pay.
James Rogerson was absent from the courthouse and his charges were waived until Sept. 29th.
