Swimming Pool Break and Enter

| July 10, 2012

Sometime overnight of July 8 into the morning of July 9 several persons broke into the Fox Creek Municipal Pool. When they departed they also left their mess behind.

With the assistance of social media the Fox Creek RCMP were able to locate two of the persons involved in this offense.

Charged is:

Daniel J. Bisson, 19 yrs of age of Whitecourt, Alberta and Noah D. Sands 24 yrs of age of Fox Creek, Alberta.

Both have been charged with break, enter and theft to a business and are set to appear in Fox Creek Provincial Court on August 27, 2012.

The pool has been broken into several times this year and the police are warning people that breaking and entering is a criminal offense.  Although that in itself is a significant consequence, the more important issue is that no one knows that you may be there making in near impossible for any assistance if needed from emergency services if you get hurt or experience difficulty while swimming.

For the few people that grew up in Fox Creek and never preformed the act of “break and entry” at the swimming pool, its nice to see they caught these two. While it is known many have left a mess behind them, it’s comfort food to see it will never happen again. I just picture all the people that could have been hurt in the past.
