Bright Future Ahead
A night to celebrate their first year of pre-school, playschool graduation night was on May 29. Teacher Kerri Desautels on the right, Michelle Forest on the left.
The morning class, singing their hearts out.
The afternoon class.
The kids performed many songs for the large audience of family and friends.
Sweet and cute, the kids were very entertaining.
A great big balloon rainbow archway decorated special for the night.
The walls were decorated with silhouettes of the kids and what they wanted to be "When they grow up?"
Cake, snacks and refreshments followed the ceremony. The cake was made by Briana McBeth.
Turn around. Don't blink - kids grow up so fast. Congratulations.
Instructed by teachers, Kerri Desautels and Michelle Forest, 24 excited kids celebrated their first year of pre-school achievements on May 31.
Appreciation to parents, students and teachers was given by teacher, Ms. Desautels, in her opening remarks. “You made our jobs easier and we loved working with your kids,” said Kerri.
Students performed, in their loud off-key voices, “I’m a Graduate,” “Great Big Rainbow,” “The Rain” and “Frere Jacques.”
“I have all the confidence that this class is ready to move to Kindergarten and know they all have a bright future ahead,” said Kerri.
Kids patiently waited to be presented graduation certificates and joined their parents, siblings, grandparents and friends in the audience. Following closing remarks and a slideshow, the crowd enjoyed snacks, refreshments and cake.
Playschool 2012/2013 will begin the Tuesday after the September long weekend. Next year, Playschool will be starting a new three year old program on Mondays and Fridays. If parents would like to register, another registration night will be held in August.
