Fox Creek Venturers Reestablished After Long Absence

| January 30, 2012

This year in Scouts we went on a hike. We had to buddy up with the younger kids.

It was really fun to do. We explored the town and all its many great features.

This year a lot of the Beavers from last year moved up to Cubs. The newest cubs are a great pleasure to have in our group with their wild imagination and great ideas.

This year we have Venturers, the first time in many years.

We just recently learned about knives and knife safety.

In the near future, well 2013, the Scouts and Venturers will be going on this really big Jamboree called The Canadian Jamboree or CJ. It is going to be fun.

At this moment in life we are in the process of planning a winter camp-out.

We are gradually gaining more girls in our unit.

Now we have plenty of new leaders in our unit and again more women.

Every year we participate in the annual Remembrance Day ceremonies. The younger ones look cute carrying the large flags but very serious.

We also just finished the investiture ceremony.

For those who don’t know what that is that is when we all move up to the next level and become official Cubs, Scouts or Beavers and this year Venturers.
