Focus for the Summer
Learning never stops, regardless of your age.
As summertime heats up, so does the Community Resource Center’s (CRC) courses, programs, events and scheduling.
New Adult Education/Employment Coordinator, Heather MacAskill’s main focus for the summer is generating community contacts to lead desired courses and compile an upcoming fall course calendar.
“We want to hear what type of courses the community is interested in or perhaps anyone willing to lead the courses,” said Heather.
Director of Community Services, Shannon Bray, partnering with the Town and CHAMPS (Choosing Healthy Attitudes Modeling Pals) program, recently compiled information packages for newcomers. The packages include a business, service and resource directory, they are available at the CRC and town office.
Shannon also mentioned, accommodations are still available at the new senior affordable housing, summer day camp will kick start soon and plans for the second annual teddy bear picnic are underway.
A hub of resources, the CRC’s helpful staff provide: Family and Community Support Services; an Early Intervention program; Write Start and Family Literacy; Community Housing programs and Community internet/computer access (CAP ).
Check out their website, http://www.foxcreekcrc.ca/, or stop by the CRC, located next to the ambulance bay and fire hall; coffee is always on.

Fox in FOCUS can publish obituaries and memorial information if and when provided by, or arranged through an authorized representative.
When a notice is posted, we’d then have the comment areas to pay tribute to the departed, share our thoughts, memories and support for family members.
I was wondering ifthere could be a dearly departed spot so we could honor people who have passed. We’ve had 3 last week and it would be nice to read something nice about these people. Thanks
