“We will try to play them during the second week in September, evenings, weather permitting,” said Jordine North.
She will contact team managers. Teams can do their make-up games until then. Jordine requests winning score sheets, please get dropped off at her house, 407-7th Street. Score sheets must have both teams name on it, stating clearly which team won.
Recreational ball players braved the crazy weather, wearing garbage bag coats and rubber boots, at the annual ‘beer-fest’ ball tournament. Sixteen teams, seven from out of town, participated.
“We had crappy weather, played in a blizzard Friday night and one foot deep mud in the fields,” said president of the slow-pitch club, Andrew Slocum.
