Big boys on ice
An action packed hockey weekend, netted eight mens teams – five locals: Chiefs, Tiger Blood, Woodpeckers, Not 2 Bads and Dirty Hookers, plus CTJ’s team from Valleyview, Burns Alstar, Manning and Can-Sub from Whitecourt.
The round-robin style tourney ensured every team played four games.
“It was a lot of fun. Everything went good and everyone got along,” said main organizer Chace Lamb.
Donated referee time, door prizes, food and refreshment made the tournament possible.
The third annual recreation fun tournament, hosted by the Chiefs team, gave men all ages and levels, a chance to get back on the ice.
The scores were not officially recorded.
The winners were:
A Division – Can-Sub
B Division – Not 2 Bads
C Divison -Burns Alstars
D Division – Tiger Blood and Dirty Hooker split the winnings.
